Our Commitment
We take our commitment to ecological sustainability very seriously and have adopted the following initiatives in an attempt to reduce our impact on the environment:
- We recycle as much waste as possible which has been produced as a direct result of our business, e.g. paper, printer cartridges, lunch food wrappings, etc.
- We use recyled paper endorsed by GreenPeace
- Electrical appliances are switched off at the plug when they are not being used and at the end of a work day
- Our invoices are produced and sent to clients electronically
- Instead of printing and faxing or posting documents, we produce them electronically or scan them, then attach to an email
- If we must fax a document, it will be faxed electronically, thus requiring no printing at our end
- We re-use as much office stationery and equipment as possible, e.g. folders, plastic wallets, CDs
- 80% of our light fittings use energy saving light bulbs
- When going for that afternoon cuppa, we only boil the water we need in the kettle - we never fill it up
- We support the Earth Hour initiative
- When travelling locally, we walk or use public transport wherever possible
- When travelling interstate or overseas, we purchase carbon credits through airline carbon neutral programs
