Change Management

The key ingredient in every successful project is good quality change management.

So often, we see organisations who are, for example, implementing a fabulous new IT system that is going to make everyone's lives easier.  They spend 2 years developing the system, fine tuning functionality and doing usability testing.  Then they hire an ace team of instructional designers and trainers to develop and deliver a series of learning interactions, tailored to their learners needs using a variety of up-to-the-minute training methodologies.

But wait...

...no-one actually told the learners this change was taking place!

The first they hear about it is when they get an email invitation to a training session and they:

  • are not sure why they're there
  • spend more time in the training complaining about the fact that no-one consulted them first, rather than actually learning
  • make the trainer's life very difficult, which detracts from the purpose of the learning and is not enjoyable for anyone in the room!
  • lose faith in their management team
  • start to refer to themselves as mushrooms (always kept in the dark!) and concoct management conspiracy theories
  • become de-motivated and feel unloved
  • put up a mental barrier to the change, making it difficult for them to do their job with the new tools/in the new working environment
  • in some cases end up leaving.

Ultimately, the business has invested huge sums of money and effort in a project with the aim of improving efficiency and making people's jobs easier, when actually what they've done is create more negativity and inefficiency than they had to start with!

Save yourself from this kind of pain!  In your FREE consultation, we will find out all about your project and then recommend a course of action to avoid all of the above.  To book your session, simply fill in the form below or call/email us and start saving your business money!
